Welcome reception
  • Welcome Reception
    WELCOME RECEPTION Presented by Andrew Peller Ltd. at The Woods | 6:30pm Set the tone for the week with a meet, greet and eat dine around. Pick up your registration package, swag, lesson vouchers, meet the group and receive some insight on how to best spend your week in the resort.

TUESDAY

  • Group Lesson
    Learning to ski or ride in a group environment is the most social and best value way to learn your new sport or improve on your existing skills. Group Lessons are two hours with other skiers and riders of similar ability. Meet your ski pro and tour guide for the morning at 10am and get out to enjoy the terrain. Please note that Lift Tickets are not included.

  • Poplar Grove Lunch
    Lunch presented by Poplar Grove Winery. Time to dine! After an excellent morning exploring any number of Big White’s 118 runs, it’s time to tuck into a warm lunch. Enjoy Poplar Grove Winery from Penticton and the excellent pairing they have put forward to match the menu.

  • Coffee Home Brewing Master Class
    Join Nelson Teskey certified Q –Grader SCA certified instructor and Master roaster at Tug 6 Craft Coffee Roasters, for this fun engaging opportunity to learn 3 different home brewing techniques from one of Canadas leading specialty coffee roasters. This seminar will focus on 3 easy home brewing methods that you can take away and brew specialty coffee in the comfort of your own home.

  • Foxtrot Vineyards Dinner
    Dinner presented by Foxtrot Vineyards. Foxtrot Vineyards is a boutique winery located on the Naramata bench in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. The winery specializes in ultra-premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Winemaker Gustav Allander and Kettle Valley Steakhouse Executive Chef, Rob Walker and Chef de Cuisine, Boddie Macklin Shaw have combined their efforts to bring you this expertly crafted 5 course meal.

  • Elevation 57 Lunch
    5757’ above sea level sits the Elevation 57 Brewing Co, and also conveniently located adjacent to the Perfection blue run above the Ridge Rocket Express quad.  Lunch here will include a beer tasting of the range of beers brewed on site at Big White’s only micro brewery.  Food provided by Sessions is the perfect backdrop to the freshest tapped kegs in the resort.

  • Walk, Wine & Dine
    This evening is the ultimate winter culinary journey for food and wine-lovers. The Village’s top dining destinations have joined forces to offer you the opportunity to enjoy a curated dinner experience, with each restaurant pairing their feature dish with a local BC wine. Stroll from one end of our winter wonderland to the other, making delicious stops along the way.  The Village Walk, Wine and Dine tour is a self-guide tour. Guests are invited to explore each dining experience in their own order and at their own pace to make the most of the experience. We recommend taking note of each establishment’s hours of operation and plan accordingly. Please ensure you pick up your tickets from the Concierge Desk located in the Village Centre Mall.   • Ski with a Winemaker
    Winemakers like skiing and snowboarding as much as they like making wine. Spend the day with the likes of Michael Bartier (Bartier Bros.), Graham Pierce (Time Winery) and the tandem pair, Andrew Windsor (Tinhorn Creek), winemaker and winery chef and local food hero, Jeff Van Geest (Tinhorn Creek). Enjoy social chairlift time getting to know some of these characters that have shaped the culinary and wine scene in the Okanagan. These noble fellows will also be guest hosts for dinner allowing you an opportunity to taste their wines and hear about how they’ve become so special.

  • Chef Rob Walker's Culinary Throwdown
    Here we go, collaboration with a hint of competition… Chef Walker invites his favorite chef friends to dinner and asks them to bring a course. The stakes are high as everyone will be bringing their A-game to entice you with a sensory parade of flavors. You will have a front row seat as you watch our guest chefs interact with our guest winemakers and pull off a dinner to remember.     This is an opt in event for those wishing to get out on the hill early. Experience true “First Tracks” in untouched powder or perfectly-groomed corduroy. Skiers will receive exclusive access to the Ridge Rocket Express Chair from 8am. First Tracks includes a 1.5hr top-quality coaching session with one of our internationally-renowned instructors as well as breakfast and coffee provided by Clocktower Coffee Co. More info >>

  • Aperitivo Hour
    Après can be more than just beer and nachos. The Italians have it right but here at Big White we call it APRES-TIVO! Usually intensely regional, this tradition of small alcoholic refreshments alongside a light snack is the perfect way to end your day. After your last run swing by The Woods in the Village Centre for our local take on the aperitivo with handcrafted cocktails and a selection of small bites from our Executive Chef.

  • Bluesday Tuesday
    Bluesday Tuesday at The Blarney Stone Irish Tavern, featuring the rock star talent of Poppa Dog and his Bluesmen, combined with a lip smacking Ribs Dinner deal and Bourbon features all night! Dinner from 5pm and Live Music from 7.30pm. Enjoy a reserved table for this sell out weekly event as part of Gourmet Ski Week with Ribs Dinner $15 / $25 and optional Bourbon Flight Pairing $18.

  • A Jamon Experience
    Learn from Globe’s Executive Chef about the nuances of charcuterie making, and how to hand slice it like a pro. Enjoy a sampling of 5 different “Jamons” from Spain & Italy, plus some of Globe’s own housemade charcuterie, together with a guided tasting of the 3 main sherry types so revered in Spain, the home of Tapas. $40 pp + tax/grat.   • Chocolate Masterclass With Leah Holuboff
    Leah Holuboff is an award-winning pastry chef and graduate of the Okanagan College Culinary Arts program. She oversees the dessert and pastry production for all Big White’s corporate restaurants and she wants to take you through the basics of working with her favorite ingredient, chocolate. Spend a few hours with Leah and you will know more about working with chocolate and how to prepare some very simple, but elegant desserts. Working with our very own custom blends designed in Meulan, France at the Cacao Barry OR Noir laboratory by Executive Chef, Rob Walker.     The Blarney Stone Irish Tavern offers hearty Irish-inspired food, fine craft ales, and good times in the highest altitude Irish Pub in Canada! Warm up after a day on the slopes with a tasting from our 40 bottle whiskey selection with examples of The “Water of Life” from Ireland, Scotland, North America & the World. Traditional Anglo-Irish appetizers on a big platter will ensure you share the Craic around! And if Whiskey isn’t your thing you can always enjoy the best pint of Guinness this side of Dublin.
