We've got an exciting opportunity for you to leave your mark on Big White!
As part of an upcoming refresh, we're looking for new names for our four conveyor carpets, and we want your creativity to help make it happen.
One of these lifts is our brand-new Conveyor Bubble Carpet, arriving in Happy Valley for the 2026/27 winter season. Complete with a weather-protective bubble canopy, it will keep guests warmer and more comfortable while expanding beginner learning space in one of our busiest family areas.
Designed with first-time skiers, snowboarders, and young families in mind, our Conveyor Carpets play an important role in creating a fun, welcoming, and confidence-building first experience on snow. Together, they help make learning easier, improve flow in our teaching areas, and support the family-friendly atmosphere that sets Big White apart. They also complement recent investments like Tot Town Daycare and the redeveloped Kids' Centre, further strengthening Big White's reputation as Canada's Favourite Family Resort.
Here's How It Works
- Submit your best name ideas for any or all four conveyor carpets.
- The selected name for each conveyor carpet will win a $100 gas card.
- With four conveyor carpets to rename, there will be four winners and $400 in prizes awarded.
What We're Looking For
Think fun, family-friendly, memorable, and uniquely Big White. The names should reflect the spirit of our resort and appeal to guests of all ages.
How to Enter
Reply to this email with your suggested names by August 15.
Please include:
- The proposed name. The name "Magic Carpet" cannot be included in any of the naming entries.
- Which conveyor carpet you'd like it assigned to (if applicable)
- A short explanation of the inspiration behind the name (optional)
The winning names will be selected by the leadership team and announced shortly after the submission deadline. Get creative and have fun with it. We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
