Slopeside Pride at Big White: A Heartfelt Thank You
Held on the 23rd and 24th of March, this event, backed by the Tourism Big White Society, unfolded amidst the breathtaking beauty of Big White Ski Resort, offering a blend of activities that catered to all ages and interests.
Slopeside Pride was not just an event but a testament to our community's strength and spirit. From the adrenaline-pumping ski and snowboard lessons of the "Discover @ Pride" program to the colourful spectacle of the Pride Parade, each moment was a celebration of self-expression and inclusivity. The Tube Town DJ & Dance Party, with groovy beats from Ur Girl Meems, turned the Happy Valley Adventure Park into an electrifying dance floor, symbolizing the vibrant energy that defines our community.
Supporting a Great Cause
Our partnership with The Bridge and their youth program, Etcetera, was at the heart of Slopeside Pride. Etcetera's mission—to provide a safe space for LGBT2Q+ youth and their allies—mirrors our own commitment to inclusivity and support. Your generous donations have made a tangible difference, empowering these young individuals to feel valued and integral to our community's fabric.
