Anthony Evans

Anthony Evans

Athlete/Coach

Or as some call him, Poppa Tony. The nickname stuck about a decade ago at a race in Port Angeles, Washington, while helping other riders at registration and in the pits. Fast forward over the years, he’s always tried to help people with spare parts and tips when he can and just “pay it forward”. He retired from competitive racing in 2018 after winning the BC cup in front of a home crowd, and attending the Croatia and LaBresse world cup races that same year. He is now in a career where he gets to help people in different ways, but still loves to participate with the younger racers at a Downhill MTB race here and there! And coach when he can! Now, he has really grown into his nickname after having a son with his partner (who is also an avid mountain bike rider). He is looking forward to watching his son progress while training at Big White in the summers and enjoying the skiing here in the winters. Catch him out on the trails with his family!
