16th Annual Neil Edgeworth Banked Slalom
This event is so much more than a contest, a real gathering of all riders young and young at heart, for friends old and new to get together and remember the true soul of the sport. Last year saw 262 riders participate.
The Inland Snowboard Big White Banked Slalom first began in 1987. When Neil Edgeworth passed away in an avalanche in France in 1997, the event was renamed in his honour.
A single run format allows competitors one timed run on the Saturday and one timed run on the Sunday. Your best time then counts as your official time for the weekend.
Taking part in this historical snowboard event is more about fun and friendship than winning, although there are many prizes to be awarded to the various age groups for Men & Women.
The entry fee is $60 for amateurs and $85 for pros. This includes a contest T-shirt, discounted lift tickets, a banquet dinner, a board draw on the Saturday night and final awards on the Sunday with many, many draw-prizes to be won!
A single run format gets you one timed run on Saturday and one timed run on Sunday. Your best run counts as your time for the weekend.
