A New Way to See Big White – Check Out Our NEW Alpine Trail Map!
The new map is far and away the best yet, more accurately conveying the layout and orientation of the mountain than any map we’ve published before. Illustrated by well-known ski map cartographer and illustrator Rad Smith, the new map intricately outlines our runs, lifts, day lodges and varying elevations. Smith tapped into the deep mountain knowledge of now retired, but long-time Big White Ski Resort employee and resort legend Jim Loyd to ensure every last detail of the map was perfect.

“It was an ‘all hands on deck’ project, and the final product really shows that,” says Michael J. Ballingall, Senior Vice President of Big White Ski Resort. “With Jim’s unparalleled experience, Rad Smith’s talent, and the skills of our own design team here at the resort, we’ve been able to create a true piece of art to those who know and love Big White Ski Resort.”
And guess what? You can hang that piece of art in your home… for FREE. We’ve teamed up with TELUS and Boundary Country to print 5,000 24”x36” souvenir maps available for free at select sport stores throughout the Okanagan while supplies last (see list below). The new map will be featured prominently throughout the resort, replacing the old map on all of our Sitour Boards and on our trail map brochures. We’d love to see how you display your map! Send us pictures or tag @skibigwhite in your photos!
