Ned was named to the new Canadian Ski Cross Development Team in late December 2014. His performance in his first World Cup in Nakiska in early December, where he was fastest Canadian junior, was one of the keys to his selection. Along with his placement on the Prospects team came his official carding as a National Athlete under the Alpine Canada Ski Cross program.
Prior to the race in Colorado, Ned spent January in France training and racing in Europa Cups. His race season now continues with races in Fernie, Squaw Valley, Lake Louise and Tabor Mountain, in an effort to qualify for the World Junior Championships in Italy at the end of March.
Ned is a former Big White Racer, following in the footsteps of several incredible athletes from Okanagan Centre, including Olympic Silver medalist Kelsey Serwa and National Team member Ian Deans.
Ned grew up between Big White Ski Resort and Okanagan Centre. He is taking this term off from his studies at UBCO and will be back at school in time for the spring term.
