Pinkbike Academy is Back at Big White for Another Season - Now Taking Applicants!

Time to put the skis and boards back in storage and bring out the bikes and paddleboards! There are many reasons why we love calling the Central Okanagan home, and the diversity of outdoor activities is just one of them – the beautiful backdrops, no matter the time of year, is another! Those jaw-dropping views have made their way into movie productions, commercials, and more – and last year, Bike Big White made its debut in a reality show competition for aspiring mountain bike professionals! Pinkbike Academy showcased our local mountain on the world stage through the streaming network Amazon Prime, and this year, it's coming back for more action!

This summer, we'll see more racing, riding challenges, two Secret Pros, and a career changing prize. The winner of Season 2 of Pinkbike Academy presented by Monster Hydro will launch their riding career with a pro contract from Orbea Bikes and a $25,000 prize purse.

This 10-part series will see would-be pros fighting it out each week right here at Big White Ski Resort, with only the best riders progressing through each round for a chance to claim this career-changing prize.

Pinkbike will cast five men and five women aged 19-39 from around the world who are able to travel to British Columbia at the end of July (exact dates to be confirmed. Pinkbike is monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic closely and will be following regional health guidelines). Whoever is selected for the 2021 Pinkbike Academy, Pinkbike will handle travel and accommodation costs.

Pinkbike is accepting applications until May 11.
