While the mountain highways offer stunning scenery, its high elevations can result in unpredictable weather conditions. To ensure a safe journey:
- Check road conditions on DriveBC.ca before leaving Alberta.
- Ensure your vehicle has winter tires (required between October 1 and March 31) or carry chains.
