Hidden Hearth
Meritage Blend, 2015 Vintage
The name Hidden Hearth is a nod to one of the secrets of the Kettle Valley Steakhouse. The Steakhouse underwent significant repairs after it suffered extensive water damage in November 2014. The winter season had already commenced and in the haste to open the Steakhouse to guests there was not enough time for the original fireplace to be restored. For now, the fireplace is hidden behind a section of the wall on the north side of the restaurant.
A blend which evokes bright red cherry and spice on the nose, with a full mid-palate presenting notes of cherry, raspberry and violets, and fine-grained tannins that persist through a long, soft, smooth finish.
