Big White Ambassador Finley Cashin Claims First Nor-Am Ski Cross Victory

Big White Ambassador and former Big White Ski Club (BWSC) and Okanagan Ski Team (OST) member Finley Cashin captured his first Nor-Am Cup Ski Cross win at March’s Gore Mountain Resort in New York.

The 19-year-old dominated the competition, taking first place on Friday and third on Sunday, securing second overall in the standings.

Also landing a podium finish was BWSC’s 17-year-old Kael Oberlander, who impressed securing third place in the women’s category.

The Nor-Am Ski Cross event at Gore Mountain is known for its challenging terrain, featuring rollers and banked turns, and drawing over 40 top competitors. In an article for Castanet News, Cashin described the course as "awesome" and credited his success to focus and clean skiing.
