Big White’s First-Ever Synchro Team Takes Home Gold

Posted On: April 25, 2022 |
A 90s favourite made a come-back in Jasper, Alberta this weekend – and Big White was there to compete!

Our team of eight instructors took home first place at the inaugural Canadian Ski Instructor's Alliance Synchro Championship, and all of us at Big White are incredibly proud!

Our team was led by Level 4 CSIA instructor Alain Brunelle, and made up of the following athletes: Charles Castonguay (Level 3 CSIA), Victoria Kao (Level 3 CSIA), Chee Fon Chang (Level 3 CSIA), Keo Horlacher (Level 3 CSIA), Guy Auger (Level 3 CSIA), Renee Seaman (Level 3 CSIA), and Piotr Smolik (Level 4 CSIA).

Synchro skiing is truly an impressive event to watch. The eight skiers speed down the slopes in choreographed formations, making their tuns in unison and flawlessly overlapping each other’s lines.

Congratulations Team Big White!
