Enduro BC

This year Big White is happy to announce that we will be a host for the BC Enduro Series.

Enduro Racing is a mashup of downhill and cross country racing. Racers will climb the mountain untimed at their own pace, and then fly down the timed descents at incredible speeds. The multiple stages of the race are then combined, and the fastest racers are crowned the winners.

For more information about this event check out the BC Enduro Series website.

SERIES POINTS:
-     Points will be allocated at every race within the series
-     Series points system will follow a new points system for 2016 - stay tuned for more information
-     All races for the BCES and CNES count towards overall points - YOU CAN NO LONGER DROP YOUR WORST RACE!
-    You can choose to just race 1 or more races as they are all individual races, it just means you won't be included in the over series points
-     You must compete in the same category for the entire series to be eligible for series points
-     NOTE: One location may be chosen to be a bonus round, where 25% extra points will be allocated for the points for that chosen race TBC
-    PLEASE ensure you always register under the same name! I.e. If your name is Ted, don't register as Edward for one race, then Ted at another, this will VOID any points you accumulate - we are not responsible for adjusting your points if this happens.

EWS Qualifiers
Fraser Valley and Sun Peaks Resort, have both been confirmed as EWS Qualifier Series races, Blue Mountain is pending and we're hopeful it will be added in. So what does this mean?
Competing at these races will give you points that you can put towards becoming an athlete on the EWS Reserved list, once on the list, you'll no longer have to apply to the EWS Lottery to get an entry to ANY EWS Race; additionally, The winner in each official EWS category at every Qualifier Series will also be automatically added to the Reserved List.
This is really important as a stepping stone for serious enduro racers, your participation in these races not only puts you in contention for the Canadian Title, but allows further opportunities to make that next jump onto to the world stage, without having to break the bank!

IMPORTANT
•CATEGORIES | When you select EWS Qualifier Races, you'll be prompted to select your CNES category and your EWSQ Category. EWSQ Categories are | Men, Women, Master Men 40+, U21 Men and U21 Women
•EMBA MEMBERSHIP | Riders wishing to accumulate points or be entered onto the reserved list, must purchase an Enduro Mountain Bike Association membership. You can do that here.

CYCLING BC MEMBERSHIP - INSURANCE:
The series is NOT affiliated in any way with Cycling BC.  You are NOT required to hold any kind of Cycling BC, UCI, or ABA membership for the 2016 series. Insurance is now built in to your registration cost and is a Commercial General Liability Policy.

This is NOT personal injury insurance.

If YOU are NOT a CANADIAN CITIZEN, with valid Provincial Health Care, you MUST provide proof of extended travel medical insurance, that includes Mountain Bike Racing, at the registration table prior to registration/racing.

We recommend, that you go to ww.northman.co to get an appropriate policy or to inquire about PERSONAL INJURY INSURANCE for athletes.

GIVING BACK TO THE TRAILS:

As we all know, we love to ride new trails and also existing trails that are constantly maintained and looked after.  As much as we would like to believe so, there are no 'trail fairies' that come by each night and buff up the trails and fix damaged trails while you sleep soundly in your bed ready for the next day of riding!  It's the hard work and dedication of all the local clubs and trail societies and endless hours of the volunteers in each of these race locations that keep you riding amazing trails summer after summer.

In return for the unbelievable support that the BC Enduro Series receives from all these wonderful towns, we will be providing a donation back to them to go towards building and maintaining the trails that we will be riding throughout the BC Enduro Series and Canadian Enduro Championship.

The BCES and CNEC give 10% of all racer entries back to the host destination trail club.
To date, we've given back over $50,000 in funding!

CASH PRIZE ALLOCATION:

There will be a total of $1000 cash prizing for each event in the series that will be allocated between the Pro Men and Pro Women Category. The overall series top 3 winners (must have competed in at least 4 of the races in the series) will receive series credit dollars towards the 2016 series.
