CASI & CSIA Level 1 & 2 Pre-Course
2024-25 CASI Level 1 Training Program
Do you want to learn how to become a snowboard instructor but not sure where to start? Become a pro and learn to ride and teach like one! Signing up for our level 1 pre-course will help develop the fundamental riding and teach skills necessary to help prepare for the CASI level 1 course.
Our 1 Day Pre-Course will introduce you to:
- The CASI riding standard, with video analysis
- The CASI level 1 "mandatory maneuvers"
- Terrain that you should expect to ride on the level 1 course
- An overview of the teaching standard, tips and tricks to be successful in the teaching portion of the course
This course will be led by a CASI level 3 instructor who will provide feedback throughout. At the end of the day they will give you advice on how to further prepare for your level 1 and what to focus on to be successful.
Program Schedule
- 5 hours of lessons; 9:30am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 3:30pm
- Lunch 12:00pm to 1:00pm (not provided)
Program Requirements
- Riding standard: Be able to make confident, linked, heel and toe side turns on easy blue terrain. Be able to make basic carved turns on green terrain
- Must have a valid lift ticket
- Helmets are required
- Must be age 15 or older to attend the CASI level 1 course
Please note: the program must have a minimum of three (3) participants to run
