Kelowna International Airport Runway Extension
The runway extension is moving ahead, increasing in length from 7,300 feet to 9,000 feet. In 2008, international flights will no longer have to connect through Calgary or Vancouver to reach Kelowna. This places Kelowna as the third international gateway in BC.

New Restaurants: Welcome Pappas Roasters & the "New" Carvers
Big White Ski Resort welcomes Pappas Roasters restaurant and the new Carvers Restaurant to the mountain! Pappas Roasters (replacing Frank's Chinese Laundry) will be one of Big White's newest restaurants and their cuisine will be based around chicken and ribs with a Mediterranean-style. Carvers Restaurant is under new ownership and will remain located within The Inn at Big White. Their menu will have an Indo-Canadian flair.

Ski Dazzle Upgrades
Big White's flagship specialty shop, Ski Dazzle, is restructuring their upper level to be a kid's specialty area with everything you need for the young ones.
New Specialty Downhill Hardware Shop
This new downhill hardware shop is located in the 'grey house' adjacent to the Village Centre Mall. There will be a wide selection of skis, boots, poles and downhill hardware accessories along with the best boot fitting service in Western Canada.
Village Rider Snowboard Shop Relocated
The Village Rider Snowboard Shop has relocated to the lower level of the Village Centre Mall. The new shop location will more than triple it's previous size providing guests with a much wider selection of product and brands.
Velvet Boutique in the Stonebridge Lodge

New Locker & Boot Changing Facility at the Black Forest Parking Lot
The Black Forest parking lot has been expanded to accommodate 180 vehicles. Along with the new parking space is 100 ski and snowboard lockers in a new building at the base of the lift, allowing guests to change into their boots in warmth and comfort. Food services will be provided as well.

Big White's Ski & Board School is offering a Teen Freestyle Coaching program in the TELUS Park for ages 13-17. This program is designed for advanced riders only, and helmets are mandatory.

 Mom & Me/Dad & Me Are Skiing
This new program offered by the Ski & Board School is a great way to start kids skiing who are a little anxious about being away from Mom or Dad. This two hour, semi-private lesson introduces your child to skiing/snowboarding while providing you the opportunity to pick up some tips on how to teach your child in the future using downhill games and activities.

Real Estate & Accommodation Update
 Crescendo at Big White
Only steps to the main village, and at the very corner of Hummingbird Run & Gondola Way, simply stated, Crescendo's location is second to none. Chateau Blanc
Excavation at the Ridge area has started for the 250 million dollar Hotel and Convention facility called Chateau Blanc. This development will be the first 4 diamond hotel at Big White. Some of the hotel's features include; 600 rooms, a casino, conference centre, and a variety of retail stores. It's projected completion will be for the 2009/10 season.

Greg Norman Golf Course
Planning for the new Greg Norman designed golf course is moving forward - site and layout options are currently being reviewed.
"We begin each new golf course design with a least-disturbance approach. Our design team puts a lot of time and effort into finding the most desirable natural features of a site and incorporates them into the routing. Streams, rock features, vegetation and undulating topography are a few natural elements that can provide a golf course with its own unique feel when incorporated into the playing experience.
