What’s new at Big White

Posted On: November 15, 2016 |
At Big White, we’re always searching for the next best thing to make your family vacation memorable. Here’s the run-down of what’s new on the mountain this season….

Warm Up & Chill Out

Possibly our favourite new feature to make it’s way to the mountain is Clocktower Coffee, now located in the Village Centre Mall. Owned and operated by Wayne Bertrand of Laughing Bean Coffee Co, in Vancouver, Wayne is excited to bring his passion for expertly roasted, fair trade organic espresso and coffee drinks. We can’t wait for gourmet sandwiches, fresh pasties, and house-made ice-cream sandwiches we can grab on the go.

If you’re more of a night owl, the Bull Wheel will be your spot. Formally a landmark of Big White Village, the Bull Wheel returns to town as our go-to bar for burgers and beers. Share a pitcher with friends on its spectacular patio and watch the sun set over the Monashees.

Well-groomed

After being named USA TODAY’s #1 Terrain Park in North America, our TELUS Terrain Park shows no sign of slowing down.  The brand-new Kässbohrer Park Plus Snowcat is a new addition to our mountain operations team and is specifically designed for grooming in the terrain park, with extra lift on the tiller and extra functionality on the blade making it ideal for building jumps and features.

Fly, Stay, & Ski

Can you imagine landing in Kelowna and hitting the hill the same day? We can! This season Big White has partnered with Pacific Coastal Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and Air North to offer packages that let you fly, stay, and ski anywhere from 2 to 5 nights for as low $499 per person! More room to play

Plans are underway to expand our award-winning Kids' Centre into the area that was formally the Loose Moose Emporium. This addition will provide our youngest skiers aged 3-4 with much-needed room to play and prepare for the start of lessons. The expansion will tackle the problem of parental traffic jams and registration itself will be more efficient with three more sign-in sites than before.

Horse Drawn Dining

This winter, climb aboard an old-fashioned horse drawn sleigh and dine deep in the snow-covered forests surrounding Big White Village. Majestic Clydesdale horses will now guide guests to a cozy cabin in the woods where they can expect a culinary experience unlike any other. Both dinner and brunch tours will be available.  Come talk to our concierge or check out our website for more details!
